VIDEO EDITING

Today’s session was similar to last week’s. James taught us how to combine screen capture with GRAPHICS and VIDEO using Premiere Pro, along with revising some of the skills about syncing and multi-angle videoing from last week.

The software Adobe Premiere pro was much easier to use that i thought, it was fairly straightforward. I reckon it’s quite suitable for beginners like me and it makes an excellent professional editing software/great learning tool for new editors. The interface is simple to navigate around on.

During this whole quarantine situation, i have made a shocking discovery of a newfound talent…… I am no doubt a MASTERSHEF! (Gordon Ramsay will be slackjawed) I made a super simple video of me cooking Ramyun(instant noodles) the Goddessjes way 😉 I was incapable of filming the video in one take because I was cringing every second. I filmed around 10 videos on my iphone 11 pro through an app called Foodie, they have nice filters! I airdropped everything onto my mac and put it together one by one on Premiere pro. There were some struggles because there were glitches here and there but i’ve managed to fix most of them. Sometimes the audio and video wasn’t in sync it was frustrating at first, but i think it’s due to the filtered app that i used to film myself on but luckily i was able to drag it around to fit exactly in time. I also added some background music because listening to myself talk is unbearable (i want brownie points). At first the music was either too loud or too soft but after searching up how to control volume at certain points, i was successful after lots of dragging around. Transitioning was also fun to play with too, everything was easy as you can simple drag the effect to the exact point you want the transition. The effects can be better i reckon, there wasn’t too many good options. I added in subtitles because i want all the marks i can get.

I felt like a low budget youtuber but I’m not gonna lie, it was mad fun.

ARGH why am i like this?? Mega cringe content below
